Requirements for the Budget and Election of Trustees - In order to vote on the budget and election of school board trustees on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, it is necessary to be registered.  Anyone registered for “general” elections is eligible to vote.  For those who are NOT already registered, school voter registration day will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at Mamaroneck High School from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the District Clerks Office or you can register between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM any school day with the District Clerk in the at Mamaroneck High School, Post Road building.  Anyone may check their registration status by calling Joanne Rice, District Clerk, at 220-3007.  In order to be eligible to register you must be at least 18 years old, an American Citizen and a resident of the District for 30 days.  The last day to register is Thursday May 12th by 4:00 PM in the District Clerks office.  Applications for absentee ballots are available from the District Clerk, from principals’ offices in all schools, and from our website.  Ballot applications must be received by the district clerk no earlier than 30 days before the vote.  The last day to obtain an absentee ballot, if it is to be mailed to the voter, is May 10th by 4:00 p.m.  The last day to obtain an absentee ballot, if it is to be picked up in person, is May 16th by 4:00 p.m.  Absentee ballots are due in the office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17th.

The following three candidates will appear on the ballot for two open Board of Education trustee spots:

Amy Nofal
 Angelique Shingler
The League of Women Voters will host a forum with all three candidates that will air on LMC Media on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 7 pm.

You must first complete an application to receive an absentee ballot.  You may mail in your application to the address on the application, or you may bring it in to the district clerk's office at Mamaroneck UFSD, 1000 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY  10543. 

Once the absentee ballot application is received by the district clerk, a ballot will be mailed to the address specified on the application, after the voter is verified by the district clerk as a registered voter.   If application is brought into the district clerk's office, a ballot will be handed to the registered voter directly or the person authorized.  A ballot may not be given to anyone other than to the voter or the person authorized by the voter to pick up the ballot on his/her behalf.    

The last day an absentee ballot may be mailed to a registered voter is Tuesday, May 10th at 4 pm - Absentee ballot applications must be received on or before this date (May 10th) in order for ballot to be mailed.  However, registered voters may personally come into the district clerk's office for an absentee ballot up until 4 p.m. Monday, May 16th.
